Dason comes from a long line of pilots. His Great Grandpa Ralph Woodhouse was an early aviator and friends with Amelia Earhart. His biography is on the shelves somewhere in the hallowed BYU library. Now that Dason is continuing the legacy the local newspaper ran an article about it. The following is an excerpt from the Daily Herald:

"A fourth generation of pilots is carrying on a legacy of flying. Dason Thomas Woodhouse and Devin M. Johnson, recently took to the skies on their own. Both are only 16 years old and Dason hasn't even received his driver's license yet.
They took their solo flights after receiving many hours of flight instruction from Dason's grandpa, Tom Woodhouse and Devin's grandpa, Rex Woodhouse and their uncle, Allen Woodhouse. Dason and Devin's great-grandfather Thomas Ralph Woodhouse began flying in 1936 and passed on a legacy to his sons; Ralph Jr., Tom, Allen, and Rex, who have now had the pleasure of sharing this longtime passion with their grandsons.
